Description
Lake Louise in the early morning. This scene was photographed just around 7:00 am when almost no one could be found on this beautiful lake.
Lake Louise is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada. The lake is situated within Banff National Park. The lake was named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta (18481939), the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria, and the wife of John Campbell, the 9th Duke of Argyll, who was the Governor General of Canada from 1878 to 1883. The hamlet was originally called Laggan, and was a station along the Canadian Pacific Railway route. It was built in 1890.
Lake Louise offers one of the largest ski resorts in North America with spectacular scenery and beautiful terrain. Surrounded by soaring mountain peaks, the majestic Victoria Glacier and a glistening emerald lake, the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Originally built as a base for outdoor enthusiasts and alpinists over 100 years ago, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is a year-round luxury mountain resort offering guided mountain tours, world-class skiing in the winter, scenic hiking and canoe activities in the summer, kid's camp, a luxury spa, and exceptional dining experiences.

Thank you Kay; the water in Lake Louise had that emerald green colour to it and I wasn't sure if it was like that year round; but I guess it is glacier fed. Glad you like it. Many thanks for the Like and Favorite. Cheers; Hany

DAng fabulous this is our destination for next summer vacation. I am so ready!!!
Hany J replied:
Thanks Wayne; it is a wonderful spot to just sit and take it all in. If you are planning a summer vacation to Lake Louise, "very" early morning or "very" late afternoon would be the best time to visit because of the lighting conditions. Glad you like this scene. Thank you Wayne.
