Lakeside Park is situated along the shore of Lake Ontario in downtown Oakville. The park is the site of two historic buildings The Old Post Office and the Thomas House, and is across the street from the Oakville Museum at.

Hany, this is a great capture and such a beautiful work of nature. I spent many days in the park at Burlington but never made it down as far as Oakville, but I would have loved to have seen it. I gather by your earlier comment that they cut it down....such a tragedy. Makes this image even more of a treasure. Lovely shot. l.f

Hi Pennie; thank you so much for the heartwarming comment. Oakville is such a great city; you should do a return visit someday, especially in the fall (great parks to visit). And yes; park officials cut down that tree (sigh) citing "safety" issues, which I guess I understand on the one hand, but again, I think it is a tragedy; it was such a lovely tree on many levels.
