Description
Geisel Library is the main library building of the University of California in San Diego. It is named in honor of Audrey and Theodor Seuss Geisel (Theodor who is better known as children's author Dr. Seuss). The building has a very distinctive architecture, which resulted in it being featured in the university's logo and becoming the most recognizable building on campus. It opened in 1970 as the Central Library, renovated in 1993, and renamed Geisel Library in 1995. The library houses over 7 million volumes to support the university's educational and research needs. It also contains the entire Dr. Seuss Collection - original drawings, sketches, proofs, notebooks, manuscript drafts, books, audio, videotapes, photographs, memorabilia, and Dr. Seuss' creative achievements, beginning in 1919 with his high school activities and ending with his death in 1991.
All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software.
