Description
San Pedro Chapel is a small historic chapel that was built and dedicated in 1932 in Tucson, Arizona. It replaced a 1915 chapel that was destroyed by a tornado in 1929. The existing San Pedro Chapel was built over the ruins of the destroyed chapel. Both chapels were constructed by the El Fuerte community. The San Pedro Chapel is also known as San Pedro de Fort Lowell (St. Peter's at Fort Lowell Mission).
It sits on a hillside overlooking the Old Fort Lowell Neighborhood. It is both a neighborhood icon and a national treasure. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in April 28, 1993, and is also listed as a City Historic Landmark.
All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software.
